MOTHERHOOD


Motherhood sessions have quickly become one of my favorite ways to celebrate the beauty, strength, and connection between a mother and her child. When Michaela reached out to return to the studio with her 7-month-old son, Maverick, I knew this session would be something special. We first photographed her during her maternity session, and seeing her step back in front of the camera as a mother was incredibly meaningful.


This editorial-inspired session was designed to feel modern, minimal, and intimate — all about the bond between mom and baby, without distraction.

A Modern, Editorial Vibe



For styling, we chose a clean and fashion-forward look:

a structured black blazer for Michaela, paired with simple white bloomers for Maverick.


This combination created a timeless contrast — bold and refined on her, soft and classic on him. The minimalist wardrobe allowed their connection to take center stage while also giving the portraits an elevated, editorial feel.


With soft lighting, gentle posing, and a pared-back set, the entire session felt effortless and intimate. Every detail, from Michaela’s confident presence to Maverick’s sweet expressions, added to the story of this beautiful season in their lives.

Capturing Their Bond


Motherhood sessions are always emotional, but there is something especially powerful about photographing a mom who I first met during her pregnancy. Watching Michaela hold her son — now earthside, growing, laughing, thriving — brought the experience full circle.


Throughout the shoot, we focused on the small, meaningful moments:

• the way Maverick’s hands held onto her

• the soft smile she gave when he looked up at her

• the tenderness and ease between them


These are the moments that make motherhood so unbelievably special, and it’s an honor to help preserve them.
